WCSX Kick’s Off New Little Caesars Arena with First Broadcast

It’s the dawn of a new era here in Hockeytown and 94.7 WCSX was there to lead the charge. On September 12, 2017, the doors opened to the public for the first time at the new Little Caesars Arena.

Jim O’Brien, Erin Vermeulen, and Producer Ryan of Big Jim’s House Morning Show took to the airwaves as the first show to EVER broadcast live at the new 650 thousand square foot arena. Detroit and Kid Rock fans flocked to the new arena for the Grand Opening on a Tuesday night, as Kid Rock kicked off a 6 show sold-out concert series.

Little Caesars Arena is the new home of the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings. The new arena has so much to offer and the features include a glass concourse inside with an indoor shopping center that includes restaurants, retail outlets and bars, in which you can watch the games and concerts from. It truly is an exciting time for Detroit fans and WCSX is looking forward to making many more memories at the new Little Caesars Arena!
